Der Bijou – dieses „Juwel“ wird von einer Auswahl feinster Red Virginia Tabake des Jahrgangs 2003 aus dem Eastern North Carolina gekrönt. Mit einem Akzent von süßen, hellen Blättern aus Kanada und abgerundet durch kleinblättriges Katerini (Orient-Sorte) wird Bijou mit einem Hauch Honig vermählt, bevor er gepresst und in zarte Ready Rubbed Stücke geschnitten wird. Sehr dezente Aromatisierung.
Er gehört zur Reihe der Cornell & Diehl „Cellar Series“ – diese Tabake sind auf „Aging“ angelegt. Der Bijou reift durch diese Kombination verschiedener Sorten ungewöhnlich gut und nimmt mit der Zeit ein voller werdendes und den Geschmack bereicherndes Aroma an. Cornell and Diehl geht davon aus, dass dieser Tabak nach einer empfohlenen Lagerungszeit von 10-15 Jahren seinen geschätzten Höhepunkt erreichen wird.
Bijou – this „jewel“ is topped with a selection of the finest 2003 vintage Red Virginia tobaccos from Eastern North Carolina. Accented with sweet, bright leaves from Canada and rounded out with small leaf Katerini (Oriental variety), Bijou is married with a hint of honey before being pressed and cut into delicate Ready Rubbed pieces. Very subtle flavoring.
It belongs to the Cornell & Diehl „Cellar Series“ – these tobaccos are designed for „aging“. The Bijou matures unusually well due to this combination of different varieties, and takes on a fuller and more flavor-enriching aroma over time. Cornell and Diehl anticipates that this tobacco will reach its estimated peak after a recommended aging period of 10-15 years.
