Cornell & Diehl – Small Batch Series – Carolina Red Flake 2026
Cornell & Diehl – Small Batch Series – Carolina Red Flake 2026
The essence of red Virginias.
Following the great success of the Carolina Red Flake with Perique editions of previous years, we are delighted to present another sought-after small batch from Cornell & Diehl. For the first time, we have brought the Carolina Red Flake without Perique to Germany. Instead of the spicy addition of the rare Louisiana tobacco, this edition focuses entirely on the exceptional quality of select Red Virginias. Their natural sweetness, fine fruitiness and impressive depth take center stage, giving the blend an interplay of flavors that is as multilayered as it is multifaceted.
With only 1,740 tins for the German market, this edition, too, remains a true rarity. The Red Virginias used come from the legendary Old Belt in North Carolina – one of the most historic tobacco-growing regions in the USA. With this blend, Cornell & Diehl pays tribute to the exceptional tobaccos of this long-established origin and once again underlines the impressive potential of top-quality Red Virginias.
From cultivation through harvest and processing to careful pressing and cutting, this small batch puts the quality of the raw tobacco front and center. The result is a characterful flake with a harmonious balance of fine hay notes, natural sweetness and a subtle, fruity acidity. Rich, earthy nuances combine with hints of dried fruit and fresh citrus notes into a multilayered taste experience.
For lovers of natural, unflavored Virginia blends, this flake is a very special highlight. Expressive, elegant and with excellent aging potential, this small batch impressively shows why the Red Virginias from North Carolina are among the most sought-after tobaccos in the world. Enrich your assortment with one of the year’s most coveted Virginia small batches and offer your customers an exceptional taste experience.
