Content: The „Illustrated Encyclopedia of Post-Revolution Havana Cigars“ by Hong Kong Chinese Min Ron Nee was published in 2003 and has since been regarded as a reference work and bible for cigar aficionados. Co-author of the book is Miguel Martinez-Rius, who worked for many years in leading positions in the Cuban cigar industry. The 520-page compendium is now also available in German. The book provides an introduction to the Havana cigar in general. Here, for example, the fascinating subject of ageing is explained in detail. The main part of the book contains all the details relating to the creation and development of the respective brands. There is also an overview of the formats currently available for each brand, their taste and their characteristic maturing potential. A clear layout and 670 color illustrations complement the informative texts enriched by the author’s personal comments.
