Bereits die Mayas wussten, wo die besten klimatischen Bedingungen zu finden sind, und haben vor tausenden von Jahren Tabak im Gebiet um Santa Rosa de Copán angebaut, einer kühlen Hügelregion in Honduras nahe der Grenze zu Guatemala und El Salvador. Genau dort werden auch die vielfach prämierten Flor-de-Copán-Zigarren von Hand gefertigt. Seit der Einführung der Flor de Copán schreibt die Marke eine Erfolgsgeschichte, die ihresgleichen sucht – eine Marke, die den Zeitgeist trifft und durch ein ganz hervorragendes Preis-Genuss-Verhältnis besticht. Nicht verwunderlich also, dass diese Marke in der Vergangenheit mehrmals ausgezeichnet wurde.
Das extrem dunkle Deckblatt der Maduro-Linie wurde speziell für diese Serie selektiert und weitere 2 Jahre abgelagert, da durch die Lagerung die dunkle Färbung verstärkt wird. Lediglich maximal 2 % der gesamten Ernte können als Deckblätter verarbeitet werden. Die ausgewogene Süße des Maduro-Deckblatts steht im absoluten Gegensatz zu seinem Aussehen – es ist besonders sanft und bekömmlich. Die Einlage ist eine gelungene und vollmundige Mischung von Tabaken aus Honduras und Nicaragua. Sie sind reichhaltig, komplex und hocharomatisch. Das Umblatt stammt ebenfalls aus Honduras, um die Charakteristik des Herkunftslandes zu unterstreichen. Das Ergebnis ist eine volle harmonisch ausbalancierte Zigarre vom Deckblatt bis zur Einlage mit Aromen von Nadelgehölz und Schokolade.
Alle Formate (ausgenommen der Gordito) der Classic- und der Maduro-Serie sind in ein Zedernholzblatt gehüllt, dessen Duft sich auf die Zigarren überträgt und ihnen ein eigenes, unverwechselbares Aroma verleiht.
Geschmack: Vom Deckblatt bis zur Einlage ein voller, harmonisch ausbalancierter Blend. Aromen von Nadelgehölz und Schokolade. Langsamer Abbrand mit herrlich weißer Aschebildung.

Even the Mayans knew where to find the best climatic conditions and thousands of years ago they grew tobacco in the area around Santa Rosa de Copán, a cool hill region in Honduras near the border with Guatemala and El Salvador. This is exactly where the multiple award-winning Flor de Copán cigars are made by hand. Since the introduction of the Flor de Copán, the brand has been writing a success story that is second to none – a brand that meets the zeitgeist and impresses with its excellent value for money. It is therefore not surprising that this brand has received several awards in the past.
The extremely dark wrapper of the Maduro line was specially selected for this series and aged for an additional two years, as storage intensifies the dark color. Only a maximum of 2% of the entire harvest can be processed as wrappers. The balanced sweetness of the Maduro wrapper is in stark contrast to its appearance—it is particularly mild and digestible. The filler is a successful and full-bodied blend of tobaccos from Honduras and Nicaragua. They are rich, complex, and highly aromatic. The binder also comes from Honduras to emphasize the characteristics of the country of origin. The result is a full, harmoniously balanced cigar from the wrapper to the filler with aromas of coniferous wood and chocolate.
All formats (except the Gordito) of the Classic and Maduro series are wrapped in a cedar wood leaf, the scent of which is carried over to the cigars and gives them their own, unmistakable aroma.
