GLADORA – Pesse Canoe – Blue Pearl Flake
Blue Pearl verführt mit einer warmen, herzlichen Aromatik, die an frisch gebackene Schokoladenkekse erinnert. Die Kombination aus samtiger Schokolade und nussigen Walnussnoten entfaltet sich auf einer Basis aus Virginia-, Burley- und Orienttabaken, die durch traditionelle Flake-Pressung zu einem harmonischen Rauchgenuss geformt wurden. Die sanfte Stärke und die ausgewogene Süße machen den Blue Pearl Flake zu einem idealen Begleiter für entspannte Abende – wohlig, rund und köstlich wie ein Dessert.
Geruch beim Öffnen der Dose: Deutlicher Eindruck dunkler Schokolade im Vordergrund. Die geöffnete Dose verströmt einen anhaltend angenehmen Geruch von Schokolade.
Tabakbild: Sehr gefälliger Anblick, ein milchkaffebrauner, saftig-satter Flake – liebevoll gepresst, geschnitten und gepackt. Schnittbreite etwa 2mm.
Haptik: Man spürt deutlich die fabrikfrische Feuchtigkeit und auch eine für Gladora typische Mürbigkeit des Tabaks.
Stopfen: Der Flake läßt sich gut knicken, falten oder aufrubbeln und fällt dabei nicht zu störrisch aus.
Anzünden: Obwohl ab Fabrik zunächst spürbar feucht, lassen sich die Gladora Tabake im Allgemeinen dennoch sofort sehr gut anzünden, ohne vorher erst mal trocknen zu müssen. Etwas trockener, nach ein paar Tagen in der geöffneten Dose, dürfte es umso leichter gehen.
Abbrand: Gladora Tabake brennen wunderbar gleichmäßig ab und erzeugen eine helle, feine Asche, der Abbrand ist eine Freude und spricht für die allgemeine Qualität der Erzeugnisse. Frisch aus der Dose sollte man etwas noch etwas vorsichtiger „nippen“ als sonst, damit nicht zuviel Feuchtigkeit im Tabakkopf entsteht.
Geschmack: „Bobs Choc“ ohne Latakia – sehr angehnehme, aber unaufdringliche Schokoladentöne, die in ihrer Dunkelheit durch das Aroma der Walnuss harmonisch aufgefangen werden und die dem Ganzen noch etwas cremigere Töne verleiht.
Raumnote: Sehr angenehm fürs Publikum, aber etwas dezenter als vom Hersteller angegeben – wir würden maximal 3 von 5 Raumpunkten vergeben, denn der Tabak ist sowohl in der Aromatisierung als auch in der Raumnote angenehm zurückhaltend, sodass auch immer noch der Tabak die Musik macht. Es ist gut vorstellbar, dass die Schokolade-Walnuss-Aromen, noch etwas deutlicher ausfallen, wenn der Tabak ein bisschen trockener geworden ist, da die Feuchtigkeit gefühlt auch einiges an Aromenentfaltung „schluckt“.
Fazit: Es ergibt sich eine kaum zu nikotinstarke, angenehm zu rauchende und zungenmilde Tabakmischung. Ein gekonnt gemachter Blend, der seine Freunde finden und einen dauerhaften Platz im Bereich aromatisierter Flakes haben wird. Sollte man probiert haben – wie alles von Gladora Pesse Canoe!

Blue Pearl seduces with a warm, hearty aroma reminiscent of freshly baked chocolate cookies. The combination of velvety chocolate and nutty walnut notes unfolds on a base of Virginia, Burley and Oriental tobaccos, which have been shaped into a harmonious smoking experience using traditional flake pressing. The gentle strength and balanced sweetness make Blue Pearl Flake an ideal companion for relaxed evenings – comforting, round and delicious like a dessert.
Scent when opening the tin: clear impression of dark chocolate in the foreground. The opened tin emanates a persistent, pleasant smell of chocolate.
Tobacco appearance: A very pleasing sight, a latte brown, juicy, rich flake – lovingly pressed, cut and packed. Cut width about 2mm.
Feel: You can clearly feel the factory-fresh moisture and also the typical Gladora crumbliness of the tobacco.
Packing: The flake can be easily bent, folded or rubbed out and is not too bulky.
Lighting: Although initially noticeably moist from the factory, Gladora tobaccos are generally very easy to light immediately without having to dry first. A little drier, after a few days in the opened tin, it should be all the easier.
Burning: Gladora tobaccos burn wonderfully evenly and produce a light, fine ash, the burning is a pleasure and speaks for the general quality of the products. Fresh from the tin, you should “sip” a little more carefully than usual so that there won’t be too much moisture in the tobacco head.
Taste: “Bob’s Choc” without Latakia – very pleasant but unobtrusive chocolate tones, which are harmoniously absorbed in their darkness by the aroma of walnut and which lends the whole a somewhat creamier note.
Room note: Very pleasant for the audience, but somewhat more discreet than stated by the manufacturer – we would attribute a maximum of 3 out of 5 room note points, because the tobacco is pleasantly restrained both in the amount of aroma and in the room note, so that the tobacco still makes the music. It is quite conceivable that the chocolate-walnut aromas will be even more pronounced when the tobacco has become a little drier, as the moisture also “swallows” some of the aroma development.
Conclusion: The result is a tobacco blend that is hardly too strong in nicotine, pleasant to smoke and mild on the tongue. A skillfully crafted blend that will find its friends and have a permanent place among flavored flakes. You should try it – like everything from Gladora Pesse Canoe!
