Ein Flake der ganz besonderen Art: aromatische Virginias mit hohem Gehalt an natürlichem Zucker wurden gemeinsam mit einem hohen Anteil von kraftvoll-würzigem Latakia in der Presse fermentiert und zur Vollendung extra lange gereift. Das Ergebnis ist ein beinahe schwarzer, wundervoll intensiver Tabak mit herrlich teerigem Duft, reich an süß getönten Aromen und kräftiger Würze, im Charakter aber dank des langsamen und kühlen Abbrands unvergleichlich sanft.
Der Volksmund gab dem ältesten Schlachtschiff der amerikanischen Flotte, der „U. S. S. Constitution“ diesen respekteinflößenden Namen.
A very special kind of flake: aromatic Virginias with a high natural sugar content were fermented in the press together with a high proportion of powerful, spicy Latakia and matured for an extra long time to reach perfection. The result is an almost black, wonderfully intense tobacco with a wonderfully tarry aroma, rich in sweet-toned flavours and strong spice, but incomparably smooth in character thanks to the slow and cool burn.
The oldest battleship in the American fleet, the „U. S. S. Constitution“, was given this respect-inspiring name in the vernacular.
