Pfeife – Paulpipes by Paul Becker – Graduierung 6 – Vulcano – Handmade
Mittelgroße Vulcano mit mit breitem Straightgrain im typischen hellen Orange gebeizt. Ebenholzapplikationen am Holmende der Pfeife und am Mittelstück. Großes Füllvolumen, Rauchdauer bis 1 1/2 Stunden.
Paul Becker ist seit 1982 als Pfeifenmacher in Norddeutschland tätig. Da er sich viele seiner Techniken bei Rainer Barbi abgeschauen konnte, ist Becker, wie Barbi, ein echter „Freehander“, alle seine Pfeifen sind Freihand gebohrt. Er arbeitet mit dänischer Linie und ausgesuchter Plateauware. Beliebtes Markenzeichen seiner Pfeifen ist das herausnehmbare Holmmittelteil, sodass die Pfeifen kurz und lang geraucht werden können. Kleinere Spots sind nach je nach Grading erlaubt, Kitt und Lack sind verboten. Etwa 100 Pfeifen verlassen seine Werkstatt im Jahr.
Medium-sized Vulcano with a wide straight grain stained in the typical light orange colour. Ebony applications at the stem end of the pipe and on the centrepiece. Large filling volume, smoking time up to 1 1/2 hours.
Paul Becker has been working as a pipe maker in northern Germany since 1982. As he learnt many of his techniques from Rainer Barbi, Becker, like Barbi, is a true „freehander“ and all his pipes are drilled freehand. He works with Danish lines and selected plateauware. A popular trademark of his pipes is the removable wooden centre section, so that the pipes can be smoked short or long. Smaller spots are permitted depending on the grading, but putty and varnish are prohibited. Around 100 pipes leave his workshop every year.
