Eine sehr hübsche Belge, cognacfarben, sandgestrahlt, mit Bambusholm, und dem Mundstück eines weiteren wahren Meisters in unserem Jubiläumsprogramm – Reiner Thilo!
Die Sandstrahlung ist super ausgefallen – man hat den Eindruck alles läuft in Wellen von vorne nach hinten. Das Holmende des Kopfes wurde von der Sandstrahlung ausgespart und wirkt dadurch fast wie eine Applikation aus einer anderen Holzart, es ist aber weiterhin das Cross-Grain der Bruyeremaserung. Dadurch geht der Holm des Kopfes schön glatt in den Bambus Holm über. Das Bambusmaterial ist übrigens von innen her „offen“, also in diesem Fall kein „inner tube“. Die innere Lünette des Kopfrandes wurde angephast und poliert. Der Zapfen des Mundstücks, der in diesem Fall den Bambus verbindet, ist ein Edelstahlröhrchen, das ca. 2 cm in den Bambus hineinragt. Das Mundstück selbst, die Machart, spricht in einer Art und Weise für sich, das dem nichts hinzuzufügen ist.

A very pretty Belge, cognac-coloured, sandblasted, with a bamboo shank, and the stem of another true master in our anniversary programme – Reiner Thilo!
The sandblasting is superb – you get the impression that everything runs in waves from front to back. The shank end of the bowl was left out of the sandblasting and therefore almost looks like an application of another type of wood, but it is still the cross-grain of the briar pattern. As a result, the shank of the bowl merges smoothly into the bamboo shank. By the way, the bamboo material is ‘open’ on the inside, so in this case there is no ‘inner tube’. The inner bezel of the bowl rim has been bevelled and polished. The tenon of the mouthpiece, which in this case connects the bamboo, is a small stainless steel tube that protrudes approx. 2 cm into the bamboo. The mouthpiece and its design, speaks for itself in such a way that there is really nothing to add.
Medium filling volume – smoking time at least 1 hour.
