Die Regel »je älter, desto kostbarer« hat Rocky Patel mit der neuen Edge Candela kurzerhand außer Kraft gesetzt. Zumindest trifft das auf das Deckblatt zu. Das grüne Deckblatt erhält seine natürliche Farbe nämlich eben durch einen besonders kurzen Trocknungs-Prozess.
Die geringe Reife des Deckblattes wird durch die 5-jährige Einlage sozusagen kompensiert. Ihr Geschmacks-Profil lässt unverwechselbar die Wurzeln der Edge-Serie erkennen. Mittelkräftig bei cremigen Noten expandieren die wirklich einzigartigen Aromen von süßer Würze und blumigem Tee zu einem raffinierten Finale.
Rocky Patel has unceremoniously overturned the rule “the older, the more valuable” with the new Edge Candela. At least, that applies to the wrapper. The green wrapper gets its natural color from a particularly short drying process.
The low maturity of the wrapper is compensated for by the 5-year-old filler, so to speak. Its flavor profile unmistakably reveals the roots of the Edge series. Medium-bodied with creamy notes, the truly unique aromas of sweet spice and floral tea expand into a refined finish.
