Treasures of Ireland – Sligo Bay
Mit dem Sligo Bay präsentiert DTM innerhalb der Treasures-Reihe einen sehr gelungenen, modernen Lakeland-Tabak, bei dem sich alle Liebhaber dieser Richtung unbedingt angesprochen fühlen sollten. Ein süffiger golden Virginia, wie wir ihn von Dan Tobacco kennen und loben, wurde in der heißen Presse zu einem Flake verarbeitet, danach zerrieben und wurde ihm nun mit einem aufwendig-floralen Ton Leben eingehaucht. Modern? Uns scheint ein gewisser cremig-sahniger Unterton, verbunden mit nahezu frivolen Floralnoten (vgl. auch das Gemeinschaftswerk HU-Tobacco / Michael Apitz – The Untouchables) den Unterschied zum klassichen Lakeland kenntlich zu machen. Dabei ist das Aroma des Sligo Bay wunderbar komplex und durchdacht – das bringt auf jeden Fall Spass und eröffnet uns neue Wege quer durchs geliebte Lakeland.
With Sligo Bay, DTM presents a very impressive, modern Lakeland tobacco in its Treasures series that is sure to appeal to all lovers of this type of tobacco. A smooth golden Virginia, as we know and love it from Dan Tobacco, was processed into a flake in a hot press, then rubbed out and brought to life with an elaborate floral note. Modern? We think a certain creamy undertone, combined with almost frivolous floral notes (cf. also the joint work HU-Tobacco / Michael Apitz – The Untouchables), distinguishes it from classic Lakeland. The aroma of Sligo Bay is wonderfully complex and well thought-out – it’s definitely fun and opens up new paths for us across our beloved Lakeland.
